I read somewhere that Dabo wanted 70-80K fans to attend.

I was thinking 55K wasn't so bad.

I hate it that Dabo was disappointed.

I guess I had hoped there would be upwards to 60K, but 70-80K is like a real game day.

It sure is a nice goal, of course.

The positives: Trevor Lawrence, Tee Higgins and the defense overall looked good on both sides.

The negatives: Kelly Bryant and the running game. Also, where was Tavien Feaster?

My biggest negative was definitely crowd support, what does the team have to do to get a good crowd for a spring game? If other schools can sell tickets and sell out then why can't a powerhouse get 70,000 with free admission plus all the other festivities.

It sounds like 10,000 or so came but did not come into the stadium. They stayed outside and watched on TV. It was free! Why not come in!

Sometimes things being free hurts things. if you don't go in, you haven't lost anything. Maybe charge minimal like $5 or $10 to get in so people see value.

Prime example, one of my buddies one time put a TV or couch on the road with a sign that said FREE PLEASE TAKE. It sat there for a week. He then put a sign on it saying $25 OBO. It was gone in hours. Stolen but gone.

Point is, gotta show people some value in it. Maybe add the $5 or $10 to cost of annual IPTAY dues and provide the tix for that for some.

Also, I heard that traffic cops were not there so traffic was actually worse than game day.

Just some thoughts.
