Default ESPN host on why he thinks Clemson will have no problem with Syracuse

Jason Horowitz, host of the Playbook show on ESPNU Radio, on why he thinks Clemson won't have any trouble with Syracuse on Friday night at the Carrier Dome:

"For some reason, and I have no idea why this is, Clemson plays better away from home, at least for this year. Go look at who they've played at home compared to who they've played away from home, and they've played so much better against better teams outside of Death Valley. Louisville, they blew them out. Virginia Tech, the game was never in doubt. At home, Boston College was tied in the fourth quarter. Wake Forest -- I know Kelly Bryant got hurt -- but Wake Forest played them to the point where they covered. Ain't nobody covered on the road."

Clemson's offense can function with crowd noise.

Defense gets better when verbal communication can be heard

I think our defense is doing ok playing in the home crowd noise. Less than 2 points and only 50 yards average given up per quarter is pretty solid! Take away the Wake Forest garbage time points, and the average is 1.07 points given up per quarter.

I think we've only given up 2 TD's this year through 3 quarters. Nobody is scoring until garbage time.
