ESPN's Craig Haubert on impact of Clemson's national title in recruiting
From the ESPN 300 Release Special on ESPNU
ESPN CFB National Recruiting Coordinator Craig Haubert:
"When every team has a successful season or wins a national championship, fans always ask, how is this going to help us in that coming signing day, in those next few weeks? Well at that point in this season, a lot of the hay is in the barn. It's down the road in that next class, which we are in now for Clemson, where you really start to see the dividends being paid.
"And it's been a long consistent road for Clemson as well. That was their second appearance in a national championship game. They've recruited well before, they did a very nice job out of state in the early years under Dabo Swinney, now have taken over in-state. And then you put into the mix winning and facility upgrades and sending players to the NFL — you have a pretty nice mix there."
