Could Tigers play 2 games on Saturday?
Due to inclement weather expected for the Clemson area on Sunday, Clemson officials are considering a doubleheader on Saturday against Wake Forest to complete the three-game series.
The Tigers open a three-game series tonight against the Demon Deacons. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
As of Friday morning, the forecast for Sunday is a 90-percent chance of rain during the day and an 80 percent chance in the evening.
The debate for Clemson in playing a doubleheader on Saturday is third game pitcher Pat Krall. Last week, the Tigers played Florida State in a Saturday-Monday series with Krall pitching on Monday.
The lefty is already schedule to miss a normal day off because of the short week and if he has to pitch on Saturday, he will only have five days rest in between starts.
