Carpenter Bees and wooden playhouse damage
I've had and continue to have a problem where carpenter bees are chewing my kids old playhouse to pieces with holes through the exterior wood siding and into 2x4 lumber. I've stained it, sprayed it with some Ortho poison that can be used to get rid of them, filled holes with spray foam, and spent hours with a tennis racket smacking them in mid-air with little to no luck. Hate killing bees of any sort but this is now to the point of ruining the playhouse/storage shed. Any ideas on what I can do that doesn't involve a pest service?
--Daughters, they can climb trees, fish, and shoot guns just as good as any boy, sometimes better. Plus they can have the boy clean the fish, buy the bullets when they go out, and then the Father gets to eat. Daughters are great. --
