I feel kind of bad for the kid. He clearly wanted to be at Clemson but we wouldn't take him as a QB.

VaTech was a finalist but they got a commit from a higher ranked guy and he didn't want to compete. Hell half of the offers he listed weren't commitable.

Tech, Clemson and Bama weren't even though he "chose Scar over those"

Agree. That makes Joyner's statements about recruiting Thomas now kind of funny. Thomas is committed to the school he wanted to go to but couldn't. Now he wants to recruit him away to South Carolina.

Anyone slightly worried Joyner might be a real thorn in our side down there? He's a talented kid.

He won't be flipping any of our guys though.

I've wached Joyner a ton. Love the kid, but unless something crazy happens in terms of him developing as a passer....he'll be switching positions or transferring within two years.

The whole thing needs a makeover too. Footwork, delivery, accuracy...it's just too far to go....imo.

You nailed it. Joyner is a great athlete but not a good passer at this stage in his career. We will see if that change.

He is an off the charts athlete that plays QB, he is not a QB that is an amazing athlete...there is a HUGE difference.

Well hes doing what he should be doing. Top recruits should try and get other recruits just like TL, and XT are doing. I had been in his camp since he was a freshman. He would have been a great Tiger and he really wanted to come here. Timing just did not work out for him. I wish he picked NCSU rather than down the road.

I think he is a heck of an athlete and an above average QB. Clearly we have TL and so moot point but this kid will be a very good college QB. He would be better off at a place that has a coach who knows offense so bad choice for him. Hes not going to change positions and he will upgrade any team he is on even that one down the road.

Click on the link and read down the twitter chain. It just further illustrates just how delusional the coot fanbase is.

The kid should be thinking about his NFL future. If he thinks he has any shot as a QB then he's heavily delusional. Every year he spends at quarterback is a year of wasted development at WR or DB.

Imagine if Terrelle Pryor made the wise decision to switch to WR upon entering Ohio State? He's probably the next Calvin Johnson by now. Instead he's 28 yrs old and has just now finally gotten his first good paycheck.

Have to disagree with you. Even South Carolina homer Tony Morrell said this kid needs to sit for a couple years to develop and even then didn't know for sure if he would stay at QB. He said Joyner is just way behind when it comes to the fundamentals of playing QB. Said he may be the only QB with his grade that doesn't have a personal QB coach. Its sad though because you know for a fact Muschump lied to this kid and told him he would only play QB and I will guarantee you that in a couple years Joyner will be transferring because he is dead set on playing QB and I just don't think even at South Carolina he will fulfill that dream.

Barring injury, He's going to sit behind bentley for at least 2 years. By then they will have another QB on the roster who is probably better than DK.
