Default How about Jordan Greene?

This young man is playing as good defensively at second as I have seen at Clemson in a long, long time. He also now has his bat going. Makes the team much better.

I was critical of him early in the season, especially the sub 100 batting average, but man has he swayed me over with great D and a bat that is coming alive. Go Greene!

He's been killing it. Took a bit for the bat to get going, but he's outstanding with the glove.

He has made the lineup better offensively and defensively.......with Cromwell struggling at the plate........any chance for Grayson Byrd to be more of a factor at 3rd?

Yeah I was just thinking this yesterday watching the game. It's funny how baseball is such a mental game. We know both Cromwell and Greene have the tools to get hits, but one of them has gone into a slump and the other has woken up from one.

The young man is batting .478 (11/23) since he was inserted back into the line-up in the middle of the Notre Dame series. As noted above, his fielding has been outstanding. The guy that sits next to me at games calls him Pac Man because he gobbles up all the balls that come his way. Been fun to watch.

Hmm, might have to yell "Pac Man" at the games instead of saying Jordan; I like it.

I remember during the Championship game vs FSU last year he had a bad AB and came into the dugout with his head hung. The camera stayed on him and eventually caught Monte talking to him and patting him on the chest. To me it just showed the type of leadership Monte has with these guys and I'm glad it has paid off with Jordan. I was skeptical when he was started but he has turned it out great!

I too would like to see if Byrd could handle 3rd. I think his bat is a little bit better right now. Or at least it was earlier.

And while we are patting player on the back, how bout Drew Wharton on Sunday!?!?! Heck of day in he field and at the plate.
