Default No. 1 or No. 2?

Where will Clemson start in the preseason polls this year and where will they be when the first CFP poll comes out?

Should be #1, but the AL/SEC love affair will keep them #1.

I hope we're #2 and that's where we stay all year. Once we get to the NC, It'll be more fun beating the #1 team!

wouldnt be surprised if the Buckeye love is so big (again) that they dont start ahead of 1st poll
by CFP polls come out we should be a firm #2

I think Bama should be and will be 1 until they lose. Always loaded, both QBs return and well they are Bama.

UGA did lose some key pieces but QB is a sophmore and they remian loaded and added lots more depth. They stay at 2. Add in a pretty weak schedule too.

Oklahoma losing Faker Mayfield much as i dislike him he is talented and huge part of thier team like D4W was to ours. They drop a couple slots.

That leaves us battling it out with OSU for 3rd. Our D gives us the edge as we wait to see what ahppens at QB and potent our O is or is not.

If you want to keep the streak of being the only school that finishes ranked higher than where they began for like the 5th or 6th time you'd choose 2nd. For pride maybe you'd want to be ranked #1 you know just to stick it to our feathered friends of something they'll never accomplish. But you know to me Bama is the champion and they should start #1 like Clemson should have a last year. If after the first week you want to change it then so be it but the champion should always get the nod.

We'll be #2 and open up in the playoff rankings #2...more than likely. Unless some other teams surprise we do not have a great schedule.

Like some have said...Bama should be #1....period.

I don’t think we will be #1. They will use the “they won the NC last year so they should be #1 until someone beats them” (despite the fact that doesn’t apply to others). Doesn’t much matter though - everyone will still be gunning for the Tigers

Clemson will be No. 2. No way they put Alabama behind Clemson.
