Default On the whole history + race topic (political post)

I am about 99% passive when it comes to politics. Almost inactive. But this article hit me in a big way as I read it right now. It seems to me a MUCH better use of the energy that has been wasted about the naming of a building, and all that.

Getting the history into plain language, highlighting key findings and events publicly, showing cultural progress, and setting future goals is 10 times more productive and useful. The ones who are most aggressive about the Tillman controversy seem to be more interested in erasing and hiding the past, if you ask me. Sort of a "tear it down and rebuild it our way" kind of mentality.
