Robert, hit up an In-N-Out Burger. I always hear my west coast friends talking about it. I want to know if it's really that good

Last time I was there we went to a dueling piano bar somewhere in the gas light district. It was a lot of fun. I don't recall the name though. Of course, you can't go wrong with the zoo or the aquarium either.

Pretty sure the venue is in Mission Valley so not too far from Coronado. It's worth the drive to spend a little time there and especially to eat at Bluewater Boathouse in my opinion. It's a cool location over the water as well as good seafood.

It you need to kill a part of a day like Thursday you might also try Sea World although I don't know what it's like since they had to end some of their exhibitions after animal activists demanded it. It would be an easy straight shot east from the game venue though.

Bloody Mary at hotel del Coronado. San Diego zoo is great but I liked the wild animal park better.

Try the brunch at Hotel Coronado. The Zoo is one of the best. We found some good places to eat but can't remember the names.

When we went there we did the Hop-off Trolley which takes you around several different places of interest in San Diego. You buy a ticket for the day and then you get on and off the trolley whenever you want and just explore on your own.

The zoo is one of the best in the country of course, if you like zoos. If you aren't that excited about zoos, then you probably wouldn't appreciate it.

We also drove up some scenic routes to view the harbor and the coastline but I can't remember where exactly we drove. It was great though and well worth it.

We hit up the Gaslight Quarter for dinner and some shopping one night and that was a cool place to just get out and walk around.

Mission Beach and Coronado Beach are great places to spend a morning/afternoon to get a good California beach experience.

The Midway Museum is highly rated but we didn't make it out there for it. It might sound dumb, but Segway tours are big business in SD and there's quite a few good ones to choose from. They can be fun and a good chance to learn the history of a city.

Past that I'd say TripAdvisor is your friend. Whatever you do mix it up and do some outdoor hiking/tours and then enjoy the Gaslight Quarter and some fine dining. Fish tacos and tequila work very well together to ease sore muscles from sightseeing.

I've been to several In and Out Burgers. It's pretty good for fast food. The Zoo is great! Go to La Jolla cove. It's a real pretty area. After that a quick trip up to Torrey Pines Gliderport. You can get a tandem ride from there down to Black's Beach....... which happens to be a nude beach.
Enjoy!

I think it will be too cold for that

I've been living in LA for a while now, and I frequent the SD area. If you've never had an In&Out burger I would say go for it. It's an institution in SoCal much like the Varsity in Atlanta. If you like Carne Asada, I recommend getting a California Burrito at Nico's Mexican Food, they have several locations, and it's amazingly delicious. If you have time, La Jolla Beach is really nice, and Pacific Beach is really awesome for the night life/bar scene. If we win Friday, I'm really trying to make the day trip for Sunday's game, I just need to find tickets.

Go Tigers!!

I've been to several In N Out's in my travels to the west coast. Definitely go to one to mark it off the list. It's not a disappointing burger, but it won't blow you away either. Just a solid burger and fries for fast food.

I worked at Riverbanks Zoo one summer so a trip to the zoo would interest me, but it is outside of the city.

I took the trolley south nest the border and ate Mexican with grilled veggies on one trip. It was fantastic.

Gas light district is nice - some nice restaurants there.

I liked the zoo ó but not the price they charged me to see it. I think it is north of $40 per person now (yeah I know it cost a lot to care for the animals but still).

Gaslamp district has all the cool restaurants and bars. Awesome place is called the Gaslamp Strip Club (and no it's not a strip club). It's a steak house where you actually grill your own steaks at the table. Cool place and something different....had a great time there. Worth a look for sure
