Default What will BC pick as it's poison?

Will Clemson run all over BC this weekend or will it be the pass this week? Clemson will pick the poison that is available.

Pass. There is a greater chance of human error associated with the pass along with the elements. Giving up the run is a death sentence. With passing, you could have a bad pass, wr drops, deflection, or wind/rain.

I think I would make the true freshman beat me. I don't think there will be much of a weather factor, other than it being cold, but as Tiggershark said, there are more things that can go wrong with the pass. I think it is also more demoralizing when a team runs up and down the field on you.

Their pass defense is better than their run defense. I think they'll try to stack the box and see if their pass defense can hold up, or at least slow us down.

My HS coach said 3 things can happen with a pass and 2 of them are bad. I think Coach Howard said the same thing. Of course this was a long time ago when if a college team passed 10 time and had 100 yds passing it was a major accomplishment.

I think we'll see a fairly balanced offense with over 200 yards rushing and 250 plus yards passing.

Im with you here. I think we see a good balance. We should be able to run & pass on them

I've never understood this "proverb". 3 things can happen with you run the ball: you can get positive yardage, you can get negative yardage or you can fumble.

With the cold and wind expected Saturday, I think the Tigers would ideally like to have the run lead the way for the passing game and BC probably believes that to be the case as well. I think they really want to stop the run. They will try to do that with a balanced D but may have to brings some help in the box to do it.

The pass. Stack the box and play tight man and maybe you get lucky and Lawrence is off or the receivers have a bad day. Sitting back and letting us run into 5 and 6 man boxes is basically waving the white flag.

I agree, it's a dumb statement. You have to question the source though (run-happy coaches).

I'm not sure, but typically BC is tough-nosed like their coach (I love Adazzio, great coach), I think they will play multiple because they've see what happens with trying to isolate this offense... Not good, so far.

BC's defense is average in both areas so I think Clemson will be able to do both.
