Default Battle of the bands?

I am not sure if this has been mention before. I am watching the replay of the game, and I noticed something. The Auburn band was really loud!! Was the mic in front of them during the game? It was really bad to see our players running down the hill to the tune of Auburn's fight song. It was like our band wasn't even playing. Did anyone else notice this?

Someone at ESPN didn't cut their mics after Auburn entered the stadium.

I noticed this too. They left a mic on near the Auburn band. Couldn't hear our band at all on TV when they ran down the hill.

Yeah the mics were left on, but one difference is the AU band was in the stands vs spread out all over the field (and not next to the mics ESPN has next to our band section)

Also, AU has a music program and we do not. Most bands will have numbers on us because of this.

I was there. Yes, the AU band was louder- but nowhere NEAR as loud as the production staff of the telecast made it sound. I was sitting 10 yd line west (south stands), closer to the Barn band, and could still hear our tiger rag.

I said to others after the game that the Auburn Band is another bunch of a-holes on par with the coot band and the GT band. The Auburn Band pulled the same trick at the end of the game that the coot band did last year - tried to play over our band during the alma mater. Our band waited until they were done, and then played the alma mater per tradition. I liked the PA announcers comment after Auburn finished their classless interruption. "And now the CLEMSON tiger band will play the Alma Mater."
