Default I can see this happening

With the ACC staying with 8 + 1 model, I can see ESPN promoting an ACC vs. the SEC Challenge like they do in basketball each year.

Remember, the SEC is staying at 8 games, too.

What do you think?

It will require lots of coordination to avoid inadvertently creating 8+2 ( or 8+3) schedules.

Do not think so. If #1 and #2 in the nation were pitted against each other during the regular season, that could eliminate the loser from being selected for the playoff.

Shouldn't matter when the playoffs are expanded to 8 in a few years..

I like the idea. And we could rotate thru each team in Leagues, so at least every so often (even if it's every 5 years or so) somebody like Alabama, LSU, or Arkansas would come to the Valley. that would be awesome!

Sounds like a good way to settle this debate after all.
