This is going to really put pressure on coaches to not dismiss kids from the program.

Why is that? Are you saying Dabo should have not dismissed Chad? I think Chad's behavior deserved being dismissed and his subsequent behavior confirmed it.

His exclusion from the combine is much deeper than his dismissal from Clemson. The combine has a policy of not taking players arrested for felonies, misdemeanors, or other questionable behavior. Chad was arrested for making threats at a night club with a AR-15, rushed on a HS football field brawl, and many other off the field questionable behavior. I doubt is his dismissal from Clemson was the determining factor.

If anything it should help reinforce that you have act like an adult. He's acted in a less than favorable manner....there are consequences to those actions. Schools will probably tighten up a bit more on the disciplinary actions if anything.

Neither Dabo or Clemson are responsible for Kelly's problems. This decision by the NFL puts zero pressure on coaches what so ever. It actually puts pressure on the student athlete to behave and stay out of trouble. Actions has consequences and Kelly has had his full share.

This is completely wrong. You're basically saying you can be a total jerk to all the coaches and not listen because your talented and they won't ruin your shot at the NFL.

The kids are now under pressure to not get dismissed from a school. Plain and simple.

This is a good move from the NFL. I like that they are actually evaluating character and putting into place consequences for having so many discipline problems that you actually get kicked off a team. It already takes quite a lot to get booted from a program. Either you have to get arrested or you have to really be insubordinate multiple times.

I don't think the poster that said that about putting pressure on coashes was serious. He couldn't have been.

My question was why was the invite rescinded? He would have had to have been invited in the first place. Why was he invited and then rescinded? Has he done something between the invite and the rescission?

That kid...acting like Johnny Manzel. What a waste. That's just to show you that talent alone will not propel an athlete. Guys have to have some character or it'll eventually catch up to you.

He is loosing a ton of $ because of his immaturity. It's actually sad.

Lack of character will catch up to all people regardless of profession. It just becomes more obvious in professional sports bc guys without character are suddenly bestowed with crazy amounts of $$ and media coverage. Inevitably who they are will be amplified in those circumstances.

Good question about the rescinded invitation. Wonder if a better candidate was being left out so they decided to boot Kelly to make room.

Absolutely. Shouldn't have invited him in the first place. The fact that he was is a double slap.
