When you pass for over 4 times as many yards as you run, that doesn't fit the usual dual threat numbers. But because he can scramble on the ground to exploit the coverage, I guess it makes sense to consider him a "dual" threat.

He's both. I understand his point and completely agree with where he's coming from with the "lots of black QBs are unfairly characterized" because they are. But Deshaun is, in the truest sense of the term, a dual threat QB. He's an elite passer with elite running ability. It doesn't get more dual threat than that.

He is a dual threat. I don't see the problem here, I don't care if he throws 10000x more than he runs. The defense has to know he does both because he is such a threat at both. Why he thinks this is a ding is strange, hell he is celebrated as one of the top players in the nation.

I think the problem stems from the reputation of 'dual threat' quarterbacks that are 'run first'. We all know a qb here and there both in college and the pros that fit that. As a reminder, Tim Tebow was celebrated as a ***** dual threat qb.
