The Clemson Insider Forums - Wednesday morning recruiting notes

***Jeff Scott started Tuesday morning with a bit of a teaser on his Twitter account, by posting this picture.

With the picture, Scott tweeted: "Love being in Florida recruiting some of the best players in the country #Clemson #FL2CU #Pipeline #WRU"

***On Tuesday, the Clemson staff sent out a pair of offers to 2017 four-stars James Robinson and Jerry Jeudy.

Robinson, who was offered around noon, is a 6-4, 190-pound wide receiver with offers from Ohio State, Florida, Florida State and Tennessee. Scott dropped off the news when he was at Lakeland High School around lunchtime.

TCI was in touch with Robinson that night and is planning to take a visit to Clemson, but has not set a date.

Just a little north of Fort Lauderdale, Jeudy (6-1, 169) played at Coconut Creek last season, but recently transferred to Deerfield Beach. Clemson joined the likes of Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Georgia.

***Brent Venables continues to work the northeast. On Tuesday, he saw Will Fries at Cranford Senior in New Jersey. The three-star 2016 offensive tackle visited Clemson during spring practice.

Kentucky, Northwestern, Rutgers and Penn State have also stopped by this week, to see Fries.

***As expected, Tony Elliott went to Fort Dorchester on Tuesday to see 2016 offensive lineman John Simpson and 2018 quarterback Dakereon Joyner.

South Carolina is scheduled to visit on Wednesday.

***Diondre Overton will see Scott and Robbie Caldwell on Thursday. We wrote in Tuesday morning's piece that Overton would have Clemson coaches by his school, but didn't specify which ones.

***At some point this week, Venables is also expected to pay a visit to Calhoun High School in Georgia for an evaluation of 2016 offensive tackle Jack DeFoor. Caldwell will also go to the school this spring.
