You have to feel bad for the defense. They are playing lights out.

They are playing to the standard for sure. I am a little concerned about a few issues (bad angles by the linebackers and allowing the qb to escape the pocket) but all and all they are certainly stout. Playing well enough to win a ACC championship for sure.

We are living in an era of offensive football. Go back and look at the last 5 national championship teams, they have all had prolific offenses. In today’s game you must be able to put up at least 30 points verse very good defenses.

It didn't beat UGA and it won't sniff a playoff win. Possibly win a terrible ACC, but unless the offense gets considerably better, this team won't be winning championships beyond Charlotte. Really hard to put a finger on why and how much the offense has digressed.

I don't think the defense was very good in the 4th quarter against GA Tech. When the offense left the field, the score was 14-3. The defense couldn't get off the field in the 4th quarter. As bad as the offense was, the defense gave up quite a few yards to a crappy Tech offense with a backup QB. Neither side if the ball was good on Saturday. Tech just isn't a very good team.
