Thoughts on UNC's new coach?

Probably a good hire. I liked Davis in the NBA (not as a Heel, though). It's smart to keep someone that was on the staff to help maintain recruiting. His experience in the NBA should help sell recruits as well.

Makes sense they would go "in the family" on this one, we'll see how it goes. Hopefully the Tigers can keep their streak alive

I am glad they are giving the well deserved shot. He learned from a pretty good Coach. However, I won't hold my breath that this is truly an interim move.

I hope he does well, until the Tigers play them. I am going to throw up now that i said that.

No offense to Davis as he seems like a good guy but I hope all coaches fail at NC. They are tied with UK for basketball program that I like the least.

Hubert Davis is a great person. He was a guest coach at basketball camp I went to growing up in VA and I cannot speak highly enough of the way he interacted with those of us that were just terrible at basketball (as well as everyone in general). As for how he'll do on the court? No idea.

It is going to be interesting to see how this affects the ACC.
