I think the key to the Power Rangers was Dexter Lawrence. We don't have anyone that size that I know of on the team. Dexter was 6'4' and 346 lbs. That is a very big DL. That size man requires two OL which means everyone else is 1 on 1.

I agree. He was so massive! And obviously great also.

When I saw Capehart at DT on Saturday, he did appear to be a larger presence than last year. Capehart playing next to Bresee or Davis should be an upgrade for size. Last year the entire line no matter the combination of players looked undersized. Of course Big Dex was unique so nothing that can be compared directly.

Maybe Page will be ready by next year. He’s certainly big enough.

Size matters?

I think they can but it will be because of depth. We are a little smaller at DT with Davis (6-2, 300) Capehart (6-5, 305, and Page (6-4, 315). Dexter was backed up by Pickney (6-1, 300) and he just didn’t have the same presence.

Just not too many quick, 6-4, 346 lb defensive tackles available, I guess.

The difference between Pickney and Dex was more than just size. Speed and strength were key plus not sure Pickney was 6-1.

Nope, not even close. Come on the Power Rangers were once in a generation.
