Still the greatest ending to an NCAA Basketball Championship
I remember watching this with my brother. It seems like yesterday.

Will never be beat. I was on Johnston’s C7 when that shot went down. The place erupted. What a great run by Jimmy V’s boys. Late night heroics from the west coast to downing Phi Slamma Jamma. Epic.

Re: Still the greatest ending to an NCAA Basketball Championship
That was a true Cinderella. That team shouldn't have made the tourney but won it all.

Re: Still the greatest ending to an NCAA Basketball Championship
I remember watching that game in the TV room above the loggia in Johnstone and it was packed. I was the only one in the room pulling for Houston...needless to say I have an idea of how Custer felt at Little Big Horn. I caught hell!!

You remember the 1985 Villanova run. That was a great tournament, too.

Re: Still the greatest ending to an NCAA Basketball Championship
Michigan’s run in ‘89 was fun for me. That was from my pre Clemson days of course.

Heck yea. With big Ole Ed Pickney. Massamino's hair by the end of their games always cracked me up. Like a cartoon character
