Default Todd McShay on difference he's seen in Trevor Lawrence this year vs. last year

ESPN analyst Todd McShay was asked on College Football Live what he is noticing as far as the difference between Trevor Lawrence's performance last year and this year.

McShay: "Well first of all, this guy is still supremely talented. He's the most talented quarterback in college football, and he does some great things still -- intermediate throws, the back-shoulder throws, he's been outstanding on those.

"But I have noticed that there's some decisions that he's making ... I don't know whether he's trying to force it or he's getting locked on to his first receiver ... It's little things like that that have started to add up and become the reason why his numbers don't look as good and there's a little bit of confusion as to why this offense isn't humming the way it should."

Um, yeah... ok McShay
These are the things Trevor said about himself in interviews.

Nice work

I watched this and McShay showed some things I thought were interesting, like not seeing a wide open Justyn Ross coming open on a post and instead throwing into double coverage to Tee Higgins. He was not missing plays like that last year.

I don't know if he did not see it or just passed on it because he saw the safety start to come over, but the window was definitely there and that was a throw he made many times last year.

For some reason Lawrence and Ross have not been on the same page. Some question Ross’s effort, but I wonder if Trevor is losing confidence throwing to him since he has had a few bad drops.

McShay usually has no clue what he is talking about. I don't ever put any stock in his opinions.
