"If you go back a couple of weeks, most people thought he would be the guy, but it wasn't 100 percent," Finebaum said of Bryant. "There was some debate, and some people pointed to him as maybe a bridge between Deshaun (Watson) and the next guy who everybody's salivating over (Trevor Lawrence). But that's just the way it is now in college football. But he has played, outside of a couple of moments in the Auburn game, about as flawless... And that wasn't just a road game -- that was a hyped-up atmosphere, the whole GameDay treatment. It was last year, deja vu, Florida State, and you could tell pretty much from the opening kickoff that Louisville was not going to be able to pull it off."
