Post Sammy still struggling

He just does not look fast in the game today. I sure hope the foot issue can be healed. Otherwise, I worry his career might not go very well.

LOL about struggling career:

First contract: Just under $20 Million has been paid.

Second Contract: $48 Million of which $30 Million has to be paid.

$50 Million in the bank.

I don't know how you measure careers but by my standards Sammy is winning.

Sammy certainly hasn't lived up to the hype he entered the league with but it's clear the talent is still there, which he flashed in last night's game, and he still has a lot of upside. He just has to stay healthy which has been a problem for him throughout his career.

Unfortunately heís hasnít been able to stay healthy. He could have crazy production if he could just stay on the field.

Silly answer.

A lucrative contract is not a great career! If money mattered then you would not see so many unhappy, but wealthy, professional athletes. They measure their success by on field performance.

I havenít paid close attention to Sammy since he left Buffalo. Is it the foot that keeps recurring or a laundry list of things? If you canít flourish with Mahomes spinning the ball, then I would guess his career is on the downside.

He was out due to foot but played on Saturday. He just didnít look like the Sammy that wowed us in college.

I think they play the Patriots next week, right?

Should give him a chance to have a really good showing. Pats will likely take away a different player, leaving Sammy to be "the guy" at WR. That Chiefs team has weapons all over the field, so will be fun to watch.

He made a great YAC play to start the game and I was glad to see he was back.. But had a drop after that and was pretty much non-existent afterwards..

Stats show he had 6 catches (8 targets) for 62 yds. So they were trying to get him involved. However he also had a fumble.

That is an admirable thought. But anyone who values on field results over $50 million doesnít understand what the world outside of theirs is really like.

Whitehurst made bank over a good , long career. And he will be able to walk at 60!
