Default Steve Alford is available now as a Head Coach of bkball...

I know he was let go at UCLA but that place is unrealistic for their program. Had a lot of injuries when he was let go. Sweet Sixteen and Elite 8. Also had good programs at New Mexico and Iowa.
DRad can talk to his agent now. Good ADs will talk to coaches' agents even with a coach in place. Be proactive

Will Wade may be available soon also.

Don't think Drad will be talking to anyone.

Since whenever the discussion of getting a new B-ball coach occurs, there are always a few posters who say "who are you going to get?" Here are a few names that I'd take a look at....

Former Head Coaches:
Steve Alford
Thad Mata

Mid majors:
Jeff Boals
Mike Young
Eric Mussleman
Nate Oats

College Assistants:
Micah Shrewsbury
Tommy Lloyd
Jon Scheyer

Wondering how many of those guys would come to Clemson? IIRC there was not much interest in the job given the constraints of geography, investment, competiting in the ACC, no JUCOs and CU being a football first school.

Guessing it would take about $3MM in additional basketball spending per year to grab the interest of a top flight coach.
