Default ND, Miami and Arizona State reach AAU status

That’s the word on the street.

Heard USF has approved $340MM to improve their athletic facilities too.

Things appear to be on the move…

It’s a true story.

They don’t invite new universities very often. So no doubt it’s full of back room politics involved.

I’m sure there’s politics involved. They picked the two they wanted first.

A quick scan of the member list seems to indicate adding 6 schools this year is unprecedented. The most they have ever invited in a single year since it’s founding in 1900. Historically they don’t invite new members very frequently, so it could years before they extend more invites.

Interesting… you may be right, but with all this conf shifting stuff, there may be more politics than usual to clear the way.

If that’s the case then ND, Miami, and ASU got the jump on Clemson. Add an existing member such as UNC and the Big10 may already have the select few to pursue.

Yep, for the B1G invites especially. That is the concern from my end. It kind of leans towards SEC for Clemson if that is the case.

Here’s more of the smokescreen to consume.

I would suggest it has little to do with the final decision. Time will tell

Nah, I think that was just pure fiction to feed off of the AAU news. The flimsiest of Twitter speculation is enough to write an article about anything these days. I’m just trying to keep up with how inaccurate this stuff is going to get before the real stuff gets released.
