2016 3-star CB Kareem Felder has backed off his commitment to Virginia Tech. Out of St. Frances-Baltimore, Felder is a former teammate of Clemson commitment Rahshaun Smith.

Wouldn't call him elite, but still pretty solid. I think his rating is pretty accurate.

Interesting that he pulled back from VT. If nothing else, aren't the Hokies known for being a one of the better places for defensive talent to get a good start? I hear so much praise for Bud Foster. And I remember reading on some Clemson board not too long ago - maybe a year ago?? - that VT puts more D guys into the pros than O guys.

Maybe his chances of playing look better to him as a Buckeye...?

We wouldn't be discussing him if he wasn't special or "elite." Any guy that can get a D1 schollie is elite IMO.

I think 'elite' guys are the ones you see coming out of high school and there's no doubt about them.

To me, Sammy Watkins was elite. Stephone Anthony was elite. Deshaun Watson was elite.

To me, elite means best of the best.

Lots of "experts" use the term a little differently. When I hear it or use it I've always thought about it as able to start day 1 in college if needed and ready or almost ready for the NFL.
