Somebody probably wants a fast WR with great hands.

Ironically, if he’s hit with the franchised tag, then this may actually help out Sammy in the long run. He’s more likely to have an injury free season in LA vs Buffalo which leads to a much heftier 2nd contract as he affirms his health.

Plus, his $16 million as a franchised WR is more than what Buffalo would have paid if they had opted to pick up high his 5th year ($13.5 million).

In summation, Sammy has landed in a place where he’s likely less injury prone, has a better QB throwing him the ball with Goff vs Taylor and makes an extra $2.5 million next year.

Overall I’d say this was an absolutely fantastic move in going from Buffalo to LA.

Here’s to hoping he has a great year and is able to capitalize next year with a mega deal.

Go Sammy!

What’s income tax like in California? And before you answer...I KNOW I KNOW.
