Briscoe Decommits from Clemson

"I am truly grateful for the opportunity Clemson University fans, coaching staff and especially coach Swinney have granted me. With the support of my family I have decided to decommitt from Clemson University."

Who do we target as a replacement?? Do we stay at CB or a different position??

Anyone have insight? I see tweets about him going to OSU, so perhaps he commits to them soon and settles the "why" question.

I think we all saw this one coming; however, I never want a recruit to come to Clemson if they don't think they will be happy and able to give 100%. Good luck to Briscoe wherever he ends up!

This is disappointing. I thought Briscoe would be a good solid addition and had a real chance to start in a few years.

I believe the staff shut down DB recruiting after Briscoe committed. Does this leave the staff in a bad position for DB now? Does this mean the staff will go after another recruit to fill this position or just wait until next year?

If they wait until next year, any ideas on what they will do with the open spot? D-Line recruit or save for walk on?

I wouldn't say this leaves them in a bad position to add a CB in Briscoe's place. It's not ideal, but not bad.

Well I said in earlier post when he took the official he was not all in and I would not be surprised by a decommit. I agree with earlier poster that it seems to me we shut down most recruiting not just for DBs. Other schools and coaches have made it clear they continue to recruit more than they need and other kids who have already committed because they know stuff like this will happen. End of the day you dont want kids who arent interested in being on your campus so its not such a bad thing at this stage. Coaches go find the next couple of recruits who want to be in Tigertown.
