But.. but.. but the blue bloods bring ratings. This pretty much dispels that notion. Also I wonder how many lost interest in a team that many felt had no business there.

If I am not mistaken, wasn't the Sugar Bowl the highest rated bowl game? So, it was not Ohio State fans that made that game so high rated, even though they were bragging that it was them. Interesting!

I feel like there were many like me that was turned off by all the social justice stuff at the beginning of the year. I did not watch it becasue I made up my mine before the season that I would only watch games Clemson played in this year. I made the choice to do the same with the Steelers in the nfl. I guess you can say football is over for me this year.

Haha, wait. You were turned off because of politics, but then picked two of the most politically vocal teams in football to follow as your only football for the season?

Also, to the thread as a whole, I believe that sports ratings have been way down ever since March 2020 for all sports across the board. I don't think it had much to do with the teams playing.

Maybe they'll finally consider finding a way to NOT play this game at 8:30 on a Monday night.

The problem with weekend games in January is the NFL playoffs. I couldn't care less about the NFL games, but I believe the NFL has more followers than the NCAA.

Yeah. I get why they wouldn't have wanted to play on Saturday or Sunday this past weekend. If you have to pick a non-weekend day, why Monday though? Why not the Friday before/after depending on how much time you want in between CFP games?

The problem for me is not social justice it is who they used for their platform. I hope all the players at George Floyd's high school that Watson donated uniforms grow up to be just like Mr. Floyd.
