Default Countdown to Signing Day - Dec. 4

It's back. The Countdown to Signing Day Recruit Tracker has returned as we track another top ten recruiting class for the Tigers. We will now run The Recruit Tracker each Thursday night for the month of December and then daily until Signing Day.

Check back each Thursday night to see any updates to The Tracker. Changes each week will be highlighted in Orange. We only show recruits that we believe have some chance of signing with the Tigers. The list can certainly fluctuate between now and National Signing Day.

We hope everyone enjoys the return of this popular TCI feature.

(DT) Albert Huggins 6-3, 280 Orangeburg, SC

All-American Game: Army

The Latest

Huggins visited Clemson for his official visit last weekend where he watched the 35-17 defeat of South Carolina. The returns from the visit were positive, but he did not pull the trigger and commit to Dabo Swinney.

Swinney used his in-home visit with Huggins on Wednesday night. Georgia head coach Mark Richt is scheduled to be by next week.

Huggins plans to announce his decision on December 12 at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.

The All-American will visit Boston College this weekend and Ohio State next weekend.

Wilkins has considered the possibility of enrolling early. In no particular order, his current top six is Clemson, Boston College, Stanford, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State.

(CB) Mark Fields - 5-10, 185 - Cornelius, NC

All-American Game: Army

The Latest

Committed to South Carolina since March, Fields was firm with his commitment to the Gamecocks until rumblings of Steve Spurrier's future in Columbia picked up during this fall.

Clemson was scheduled to have Fields on campus for the South Carolina game, but plans for that visit fell through. Swinney is expected to stop by Hough High School on Friday, to check in on Clemson commitment Van Smith, so the Tigers could pick up some momentum heading into the weekend.

(CB) Marcus Lewis - 6-1, 185 - Washington, DC

All-American Game: Under Armour

The Latest

Clemson had Lewis on campus in August of his junior year. Several weeks later, he was committed to Virginia Tech, but that lasted for less than a month before he re-opened his recruitment. Lewis committed to Florida in April of this year before withdrawing the pledge in July.

As is the case with Fields, the Tigers got back into the picture when former cornerback commitment Juwuan Briscoe began looking at his other options. Lewis was scheduled to take an official visit to Clemson last weekend for the South Carolina game, but those plans fell through.

Miami had coaches by Lewis home this week for a visit.

All-American Game: Semper Fidelis

The Latest

Committed to Virginia Tech since February, interest from Clemson picked up when defensive backs coach Mike Reed offered in late November. Reynolds told TCI that he has not scheduled a visit to Clemson and that he's waiting for Reed to set that up. Along with Virginia Tech, Clemson is the only other school that Reynolds is considering.

He'll graduate from Northern Guilford High School in December.

The Latest

Clemson was the first offer Johnson, but the interest from the Tigers eventually faded. Swinney and Brent Venables have spoken within the last couple of weeks, which ended a four-month period with no contact. South Carolina is also expressing interest in the AC Flora senior.

Johnson told TCI earlier this week that Clemson wants to have him on campus for an official visit in January. How heavily the Tigers pursue could depend on what plays out with other 2015 targets.
