I like his dedication. He isn't very big, but having a kid like him in any role on the team could be good.

I think his role will be as a nickel/dime cornerback. Would also expect that he gets work as a gunner/jammer on special teams.

That's among the reasons he's going to the Hall of Fame...not many guys hit like that.

I'm going to killed for this, but why did we take this guy? He doesn't look 5'9 and with the questions we have at CB behind Alexander and Tankersly...why offer this kid? He's short and probably not fast enough for corner. We're already discussing his role as a "role" player. We recruit too well to do this. I guess I shouldn't gripe too much because we do seem to develop players, but instead of this or the Trapp kid go after some legit D1 talent.

Is he projected to be on scholarship, or a preferred walk-on next year?

Pretty positive he'll be on a scholarship, but not 100 percent certain.

I don't get it either. Especially since this guy was not exactly eager to sign with Clemson.

Because! Get over it. Probably not too fast? What is that based on? Tyrann Mathieu! Really short!

BDawk Jr. He had some sort of offer, maybe a grayshirt, during football season. He really slow-played Clemson (talked about "examining all of his options") when he's a guy that, based on talent, probably would not have any sort of offer if he was any ole John Doe.

He'll never be a honey badger. How about that?

Watching film and hearing more than a few football people putting him at nickel back because he doesn't have the speed to play corner. How many other offers did he have anyway? Wouldn't you have rather taken another DE, OL, or someone that is at least projected to play CB on a D1 roster?

We're fans. I don't have to get over anything. Hopefully the kid turns out to be a beast, but until then we as fans can question the take all day long.

Don't forget about the other 5 that got scholarships also. I hope this doesn't come to hurt us down the road with depth chart issues.

Somehow forgot to not respond to this, but isn't that what most recruits do?

Pretty sure most want to examine their options before making a decision.
