Scott: Clemson did enough in the passing game
The media spoke with Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott following its 42-10 win over Pitt in the ACC Championship. He knew that the passing game would be difficult in wet conditions but felt his team did enough to open up the offense.
"We talked abut how it was going to be wet and said no excuses we need to throw and run regardless," Scott said. "We knew we would have a little better opportunity to run the ball with it being wet."
"We made just enough plays in the passing game to keep them honest and open up the runs," Scott said. "That's a lot for the offensive line to push those back to 301 yards."
