Hate to say it but it sounds like he's still drawn to Cootlumbia. If they get the chance to reassure him, I think he's theirs to lose.

I don't have that many Gamecock "friends". Mostly it's social media contacts and maybe one or two people I've know personally. But the overwhelming opinion I see from my media exchanges and looking at Internet postings is that Fields was made happy by the latest Spurrier comments about how long he's hanging around and by the fact that the Muschamp gossip was pure hooey. So coaching seems stable. At least to Fields.

But until I hear otherwise I consider that "truth" to be just as fabricated as the "truth" that Muschamp was moments away from becoming HC in waiting.

I agree 100%; he'd be a huge pick-up and I don't see how he buys into their bs. Spurrier is gone in 1-2 years and this kid will be a coot.

Mark it down.....and I'll gladly eat crow if he becomes a Tiger!

I feel the same way. Hopefully Dabo and Co. can show him the way, especially regarding the OBC's bs.

Yeah. I agree with the overriding sentiment in this thread. I think there might have been an opening to snatch MF away from the dark side but now I believe that the coots will reel him back in.

Of course if Dabo gets him on campus the weekend of the 17th, I will be very interesting to see what happens the weekend of the 24th. If MF chooses not to go on the OV to cluckerville, watch out!

I've read and feel differently from what you guys are saying on this thread. He is leaning towards us, and might commit before his official with us.
