How far will this basketball team go?

They are off to a great start. How do you think they can do in the NCAA assuming they make it.

It's a little early right now, but I don't think it's unrealistic to hold out hope for the sweet 16. The ACC seems a little down this year with Duke, UNC and FSU not being quite as strong as most years. Now, only about 1/3 of the season is through and tougher games are ahead of us, so a lot of that could change. We've shown good fight early and beat some decent teams so far. I think we at least make it to the tourney as an 8 or higher seed and get to the round of 32.

A healthy Clemson team probably has the opportunity to get to a 4 or 5 seed in the Tournament.

The NCAA Tournament is a fickle beast. How well a team is playing plus the draws or match ups is huge.

Depends on whether they have to play VT or not. No idea why that team is BB's kryptonite. Doesn't seem to matter if we have a much better team or not he always struggles against VT.

As others have said, the NCAAT is a crap shoot. It all depends on matchups. The good news for Clemson is that they can play different ways to win. The NCAAT is about guard play and having Honor and Dawes (and Trapp) is a very good start.

Hate to say it but with our luck, something else will happen and the tournament will not happen. Last year, we had a legit shot at ACC and NCAA runs.

If everything does get played, I think we have the depth to go to Sweet 16 if not further. The lack of experience of being there could hinder us a bit and it all depends on match ups as others have posted.

All things considered, we are playing well and have a solid chance to make a run. It'd be nuts if our BB team could get into the final 4. Football and basketball in same year??
