I don't know why he couldn't play the last 2 games this season, but it's in the past now. All I know is , when he's on the field, he makes a difference. Hopefully he'll finish healing up physically and mentally and is a living terror for opposing offenses next season. I personally am happy to hear he's coming back.

I hope he gets healthy and get some help with his technique. He can’t rush the quarterback on every play without thinking about other responsibilities. He also can’t speed rush on every play. When healthy has the physical tools.

If XT brings a renewed sense of urgency then look out. He has the most upside of anyone returning other than Bresee or Murphy.

I think it's realistic that this DL will have multiple guys which will likely require a double team. If that is the case then this defense will become much much more dangerous.

XT did not go into the portal which says a lot. If he has any aspirations of a nice NFL contract, this will be his money year and should provide the motivation to focus and go 110%.

All THIS news is great ,but we were at this spot this time last year. Injuries/COVID screwed it up. Played the season without last year's DE's and without 3 of the top 4 WR's.

We still have to make thru post Spring transfers. Just an opinion, and not to be Downer ,but I think we're gonna see more transfers than ever before coming out of Spring, all across College Football, by those that aren't far enough up on the depth chart.

I agree about the roster turnover coming out of spring practice. Players will be finishing up the academic semester and re-evaluate their prospects for playing time in the fall.

Also, I will not be surprised if XT is one of those transfers. The announcement came from the program, and left an impression to me that they had good discussions and formulated a plan forward with him. However, with whatever was going on in December, you have to question if he’s really all-in. If he doesn’t lock down a starting position in the spring then his time at Clemson might be done. That’s reasonable because he can walk into a bunch of other schools and be a starter on day 1. Anyone know if he’s getting close to graduating?
