Default Transfer portal paying off for playoff teams

Three of the four playoff teams all have transfer QBs running their offenses. That's just crazy to me. All of these guys were told they weren't good enough to start at their first school and now could win it all (Hurts already has 1 natty ring, but still).

What does that say about the new transfer portal craziness? What does that say about the teams that gave up these stud QBs? What about OSU who lost Burrow but gained a new QB from the portal in Fields? What does it say about Clemson, who hit the nail on the head with Trevor Lawrence, making him the only non-transfer QB in the playoff?

Just interesting, IMO.

Burrows and Hurts both Graduated then transferred, like many before them have.

Fields left town because he wasn't the starter ,then played the race card to avoid sitting out, while his sister was still on scholarship at the University that was so racist, he had to leave.

I have and will continue to think that Clemson evaluates and develops talent better than any staff in the country. They dont appear to mislead kids either.

That said...sometimes you just get beat out by better talent. Hurts left because of Tua and Burrow because of Haskins....they just weren't good enough to be the guy. It's worked out well for them.

But then you also have to look at guys like Fields and going way back to Russell Wilson whose coaches picked another player over them so it was either sit or go else where.

Fields just picked the wrong school. He's a spread QB and went to UGA....just an idiotic move on his part. Smart and that staff have a negative affect on anything offense...lol. I really thought Fields would pick FSU or OSU initially....I just didnt get the Georgia pick.
