Default First team since 1966?

Dabo stated that Clemson was the first team since 1966 to start the season#1 and finish #3.

The 2014 Seminoles started the season ranked #1 and finished #3 after being behind Miss State for half the season. The Noles were the only undefeated team that year.

Then they got clobbered by Oregon in the Semis of the playoff .

Let’s hope the Tigers have a better outcome than that?

FSU was No. 2 in the AP Poll. They were No. 3 in the CFP.

Clemson was never No. 1 in CFP poll. They were in the AP. He was referring to the AP Poll, which is correct.
