Default Good feeling after opening series

There are certainly some things that need to be cleaned up like the base running mistakes and some fielding mistakes from Sunday. But overall very pleased with the sweep of the opening series. Some good things from the pitching staff. May need some work on the Sunday starter but we will see as that was just his first start.

Some good arms in relief all weekend.

Also, I think this team has crooked inning potential. Definitely more power than last season. I like that Lee is using speed out on the bases but too many mental errors and/or our 3rd base coach is forcing too much. Hopefully Hackenburg, Meredith, and Hall all come back playing strong. We need the experience to counter balance the talented but inexperienced freshman.

I hope Grice just had 1st game jitters. He could lockdown a weekend starter role because Iím just not convinced Askew will improve his control with his throwing mechanics.

Is Chad Fairey injured? If that guy could get his hitting in order thatís one more powerful bat in the lineup.
