I hope I am wrong but I don't see us beating UL tomorrow. This team right now looks like they are ready to hang the cleats up for this season. I just get the feeling we are going thru the motions right now.

It appears the FSU series doomed this team.

We can be L'ville but the way our season has gone since the FSU series I would say its not likely. Still scratching my head over the decision to start Marr yesterday. Like Will said your down to your last out you have to go with your best. Mat Clark has clearly been better than Marr this year. Don't get the strategy.

To add to that, Hennessy has been hot lately. Why didn't you start him? But instead, Monte eventually puts him in the 7th, he mows down the batters, he gets pulled, and the next guy promptly gives up a homer.. Monte, I love you, but for Gods sake pull your head out of your arse!

Coach Lee answered those questions in his post game interview. Clark has had surgery on his elbow and he did not want to pitch him on short rest (Thursday - Tuesday) Hennessy just threw right at 100 pitches on Friday night, his best performance ever, so you cannot bring him back on short rest either after throwing that many pitches. Got a tough draw having to play on Tuesday.

Ah ok, thanks. Sorry, didn't watch the interview. It just illustrates the lack of pitching this year. We have some solid guys, but just not near enough of them..

Who knows. This team is so inconsistent. I think they beat Louisville. We can beat anybody on a good day. We just donít have the pitching to sustain it.

Hennessy could have probably thrown another inning or two yesterday, but we did keep his pitch count low to have him available for Louisville

My question was why didn't we start Jackson Lindley against BC? He would have been going on normal rest and his stuff has been good the last few weeks

Good point, didn't even think about Lindley. He's been good every time I've seen him. He should have been pitching a lot more.

But Lindley has mostly pitched in the mid week games. From what Iíd seen plus the tv crewís comments, he doesnít have control over enough pitches to keep ACC hitters from turning his fastball into batting practice. Of course thereís plenty of teammates that canít getting any of their pitches over the plate, so I guess itís pick your poison.
