Kinda felt like he quit on the team midway through the year. Pretty disappointing considering how much support Clemson gave him during that reckless endangerment speeding incident.

Not surprised at all. I know he was reported as injured but no details so at some point this felt like a Dabo love shack situation. Wish him well wherever he lands.

We now have three scholarships available (Davis, Wiles & EJ Williams). I wonder what Dabo will do? Does he save them? Does he go for players from the portal? Does he try to get a few more people to sign for the 2023 recruiting class?

He'll find 3 walk-ons to promote if he goes by his normal playbook. My hope is he either finds 3 new good recruits or finds some gems in the portal.

If the scholarships go to walk ons, then Best isnít the standard and we are just turning the team into a charity. People will point to Renfrow, etc. but those are edge cases and pretty exceptional rather than the rule.

Hard to win if you handicap yourself by essentially cutting your scholarships and wonít recruit the transfer portal despite losing a bunch of folks there.

At this point in time, Clemson has 23 commits vs 13 Srs and 4 empty spots. If they ALL sign and the stories about another 3 are true ,we'll take 23-26 this cycle Seems like the staff might knows who's leaving. "My Guess " is we'll have 85 in Feb. The question will be how many we have after spring.

EDIT, I FORGOT Putnam has already said he's coming back. THAT'S 12 Srs and 4 empty spots before Transfers an Early Draftees.

As a side note, super pleased with Pride, Lukus, and Wiggins. They took some lumps early in the year, but those guys are going to be fun to watch.

I believe if you compare the number of scholarship seniors vs the number of commits you would see that the coaches have already factored in a level of attrition. The question is did they guess right or will there be open spots. If there are open spots will the coaches offer additional HS Seniors now or wait until the 2nd signing day or perhaps look at possible transfer options.
