Default Recruiting Impact of Priester's Departure

Ky Priester's departure from Clemson is certainly not good news as he was going to be a good one for the Tigers in the future. The question many will ask is how does that impact recruiting going forward.

TCI spoke with some sources to get the latest.

- First the departure of Priester does not mean the Tigers will no go after another WR for the 2015 class. Things can certainly change in recruiting but right now the plan is to hold with the outstanding WR class the Tigers currently have committed for 2015.

- It certainly will add to the priority of finding a couple of WR playmakers for the 2016 class.

- Clemson is already in strong position with a couple of top 2016 WR prospects. The Tigers lead for Winston-Salem, NC prospect Diving Deablo. They are also in good shape for Conway, SC 4-star Bryan Edwards. Hale reported already this week that Edwards will be in Clemson this weekend for the game. Edwards has visited Clemson a number of times, but this will be the first trip for his parents.

- Clemson has also been evaluating a number of other top WR's for the 2016 class. The Tigers aren't having any problems finding top WR's that want to play in coach Morris' offense.

To be clear... It will be the first Clemson game for Edwards' parents. They've been to the school before.

Could Tavares Chase be one of them? I just noticed yesterday he tweeted to get reaction from Clemson fans (to retweet him). So maybe he's starting to look more at us instead of FSU?

Was told by a source that's credible that Divine isn't a take right now. Things may change now that KY isn't on board but was told Clemson likes a few more targets little more. Divine is still young for his class.
