Of course they are further along than the last 4 years...after all, they beat us AND Alabama won the NC. Now follow my coot logic here - They beat US, who we all know have been historically a much better program and we won the National Championship in 1981. Now keep that point in mind...They play in the SEC which means that they are in the same conference that this years National Title winner is from. This ties in with the win over us who won it in 81...so, being that we won it in 81 and they beat us, and Bama won it this year and they play in the same conference as them, then that means that they are a better team this year. This year's 7-5 is much better than in years past.

Now, do you understand how coot logic works?
