Re: Cathy Parker: Proud to be a Tiger
Great article Cathy. Clemson should be different. Many on this board and others need to read this article. Great perspective.

Re: Cathy Parker: Proud to be a Tiger
Thank you Mrs. Parker for reminding me of what a fan should be. And thank you as well for reminding me of how to live life as a Christian. Too many times has frustration led to dissapointment. Thank you for putting things back in proper perspective for me. I will be in Clemson on Saturday making a fool of myself as well. My blood has been orange since I was introduced to Clemson football back in 1975. I have known nothing else and will not know anything else. Regardless of wins or losses, I am proud to be a Tiger as well. Well spoken and hopefully will be read by many.

i really think this is the voice of reason and the view of the majority of clemson fans. unfortunately, the disgruntled always seem to make the most noise. however, it's the true fans who make their noise between the opening kickoff and the final whistle that make Clemson a truly special place. great read and Go Tigers!

Re: Cathy Parker: Proud to be a Tiger
Very nice article. It was a really good idea to have her share her thoughts.
BTW, Cathy Parker mentioned Jim Riggs. Where is he these days? Would love to have him visit Clemson.

Re: Cathy Parker: Proud to be a Tiger
I loved your article-Please know that there are thousands of us who agree with you and are screaming supportive fans! I am a mom, too-did not attend CLemson but became a "Tiger" when we moved to SC and our children ended up going to school here. I tell my friends back home that I "drank the Kool_aid "when trying to explain my passion for this school, particularly the whole football experience. I can't tell you the lengths I have been to to make every Tiger Walk and game. I scream my head off, counter every negative comment I hear (and thankfully there are not many), and generally make it a mission to promote all the things you so eloquently pointed out in your article. I write this just to make sure you know that you are in company with so many others who love the program, love your son and his tenaciousness and admire his talents and toughness. People in general are desensitized to the rudeness and griping that sports fans spout these days. I have visited other boards and seen much worse than ours by far, although that doesn't make any of it right. I will be there Saturday and can't wait. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how much he is able to influence within NCAA rules young men that are interested in Clemson.

Re: Cathy Parker: Proud to be a Tiger
It is probably worth repeating that people that complain about Clemson football are not bad people. They are people that believe Clemson can be better than a secondary bowl (Music City) and a 9-5 record. They express their concern, although a converation or a discusison board is better than yelling at the team or players!
