Yikes.
South Carolina hasn't won a football championship in my lifetime. For the sake of this discussion, division titles do not count as championships.

Oh crap, that means I'm about to turn 50

Well, on Nov. 25th. I'll turn 98 and during that time they have only one conference football championship. Now, add to those 98 years, those years when they played their first football game before my birth and that's about 127 years of futility. If they continue to celebrate conference football championships at this fantastic rate, maybe some of our descendants, not yet born, will be among the group to witness that event. However, based on past performance over an extended period of time, the odds will be extremely long. Looking at it another way, between now and 2146, the Gamecocks MAY win another conference football championship. Pre-season championships do not count but "wait until next year" comments are allowable.

Do they actually showcase the trophy? What do recruits think I wonder.
