Hale, great to see that you don't have to toe the party line and can give your real assessment of the potential of a player. Chad Smith will be a player.

Curiously these five are key for the offense. Maybe the key defensive list will follow? I'm certainly excited by guys like Clelin Ferrell and Austin Bryant.

Also, I keep reading about some ratings services (is that the right term??) that have started to whittle down on Hyatt even though he's had great off season performances. Bias? You be the judge. His numbers still keep him in the 5 star range for now, though.

I was thinking the same thing until I saw Smith (LB) on the list. I think theres some very good (potentially) talent coming on D also, Brisco, Johnson and the above mentioned guys and a few others

I was being a little tongue in cheek about it. There are just so many that should get highlighted, it's hard to settle for just 5....

I considered Briscoe for this list, because I really like his film.

I'll say this: I think he might be the most intriguing guy in the class.

I think, in some regards, Hyatt fell into the been-on-the-radar-for-too-long territory.

Thanks. There were times while working for CUTigers when my thoughts on certain Clemson recruits were much different than what the decision makers at Scout thought. I think I'm going to enjoy the independence.

Hale will over time be sharing his thoughts on all of these guys. Great to have him on board.

So maybe I'm a little biased, but I have to say that's one of the best recruiting "articles" that I've read in a long, long time. Great stuff, Hale! Great to have you here and looking forward to everything that you bring!
