True. And that is saying a lot if McMichael needs to go elsewhere. Seems like a strange time to enter it to me. Will he be sitting out this year?

The question will be do they use that ship to go after another 2020 DB or do they use it maybe for another 2020 WR since Kendrick moves over and basically fills his slot at CB.

We will get more on that

I think Sheridan Jones was top 2-3 corner in the country before he re-classified and Booth is Sunday talent all day. I'm not worried about corner at all. DK is the starter opposite Terrell...McMichael seemed like he just wasnt showing enough. Jones and Goodrich looked better in the spring and DK is a freak.

But D Ngata is an APB. Would he play WR? Dunno...

Yep, the timing is odd. Maybe he's soon enough of Booth and Jones and knows Davis shouldn't be a slouch. McMichael was highly rated out of HS too, right.?

Would if have made a difference of when he'd have to sit out a year if he had waited until the season started? He might could have played 4 games and then decided just to make sure that he wasn't an injury away from playing more.

Oh well...

1 service had him rated #1 CB in his class. The only thing holding him back this year would have been his size. HE'S TAKEN CARE OF THAT,adding at least 15lbs .

This is what Brownell and Swinney have been talking about and why transfer rules need to be just a little more stringent and why the NCAA changed some wording this year with the rule.

It is hard to manage a roster when guys can just leave anytime they want.

Yes, he's very similiar to Ray Ray McCloud, who was also a high school RB.

Personally I disagree with Brownell and Swinney here. This process benefits the players. Coaches can just leave anytime they want and hang 85+ kids out to dry. This puts a minuscule amount of power back in the players hands to make choices that they and their family believes are best for themselves.

If he gives up this easily, he should move on. We've had four CBs in the same class, so may not be a bad thing.

I’d love to ask the guys that leave what plans they have after college. If they say something about “the NFL” then I would simply tell them if you aren’t good enough to start on your first college team you won’t likely make an NFL roster.

In spite of that I do wish him well.

What might they learn from Mark Fields?

Well CDS and CBB aren't "student athletes". Coaches have earned the right to leave and take any job they want. Both of Clemson's coaches have been student athletes in a time when you could withhold water if a coach didn't like the way their players were practicing. Sorry but holding someone to their word and/or accountable or making someone push through some adversity shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. Making a kid NOT GIVE UP shouldn't be a bad thing. Instead of empowering the kids even more maybe we should make them work harder. Maybe people who think the student athlete should have all the power should maybe see the amount of time and money that goes into each individual player. Your talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars that goes into EACH player. See that's the thing we have talked about how players are being taken advantage of and not once do we talk about how much is put into these guys. No wonder these players think they can come and go as they want, we hold them accountable to NOTHING. I'm not saying we should treat them like property but treating them like princesses doesn't work either. It is what it is though.
