Re: Live Game Day thread: Clemson at Syracuse
I would love to know how Cooper and Johnson look in practice. Last week Cooper couldn't complete anything and Johnson couldn't miss. Copper was improved today but still had terrible passes on a couple critical plays. 0 chance to complete those...
Also, what is it going to take to get Etienne more carries? It is obvious to everyone who has seen him that his is going to break it when he gets one step. His TD tonight would have been a 10 yard gain for all of our other RBs

Can't believe the negativity about Dabo. He's a high character man, will take the blame for tonight and work hard to refocus the team.

I think he is a high character guy. However, the decision to leave an obviously hobbled KB out there was dangerous for KB. As soon as Syracuse saw he couldn't run, they were coming after him. We were setting him up to get hurt. That is definitely on the coaches.

Our defense was on the field all night partly bc they couldn’t get themselves off of it.

On this, he can't whiff on blocks and get the QB hit like he did twice tonight.

True but one of those was a busted play. Etienne and the recievers thought it was a run play and Cooper thought it was a pass play

Couple to a few thoughts. Was Clelin the only man to get off the bus?
Travis is special, but needs development. There's a reason he wasn't starting in the beginning.
Why waste KB for tonight if he wasn't 100%? Just wasn't worth it. Even before the knowledge we we lost.
Guys I sure have enjoyed this glorious journey. It isn't over yet, BUT we aren't winning a CFP game if we can't make a 35 yard field goal.

That game exposed a lot of weaknesses. Not sure what was going on with the defense, but I think that'll get fixed. And to their credit, they did score. But man that offense...outside of Renfrow and Richard, no one showed up. Cain has been inconsistent, but I'm not sure Bryant can make the throws we need our if our QB. I think Bryant remains a mediocre passer who is an elite runner. Not sure that'll be enough going forward.

I'm trying to keep it together, but I am so livid about KB right now. I could spit nails and build a house. Just so damn stupid

Agree. I think we will beat GT coming off a bye. I don't like the look of that game in Raleigh at all. I've had that pegged as a trap game for a while. NC State has improved significantly since the SC game

Agreed. Have yet to see anything in Cooper. Badly underthrown last week and overthrown by 10 yards twice tonight. Just poor play calling and as you said, aside from Renfrow and Richard, poor execution. Don't know where the O will start to fix this hot mess.

Agreed. Even before this debacle I didn't see us getting out of Raleigh. Their offense is similar to Syracuse, but with more talent.

A Washington State loss here would be nice.

Tonight was an example of us playing with a bulls eyes on our back. This was the biggest game of the year for Cuse, and they played like it. This was their National Championship. Meanwhile Clemson played like it was just another game against an inferior team.

Re: Live Game Day thread: Clemson at Syracuse
1. No goals are lost.
2. We’ve been winning with depth on d all year. This tempo you can’t substitute. This was an outlier not a concern.
3. Don’t care who you are. You lose your starting QB you lose a big piece. KBs legs account for a huge part of our offense can’t neutralize him.
4. Seeing Hunter Johnson make a couple throws against Wake Forest’s 2s mean nothing really.
5. Feaster and ETN can’t go into the half with 5 carries combined
6. There have been a grand total of ZERO Playoff Champions without a loss.
7. There’s a bye week to get healthy
8. Any Dabo criticism outside of tonight’s game is unwarranted
9. The bye helps this loss not beat us twice.
10. Go Tigers let’s win the Atlantic and take care of business in Charlotte.

Wake had their 2nd string defense in a close game they could have still won?
