Yep, Texas A&M and Syracuse concern me because of our young defense. I don’t see our offense struggling against either team unless Trevor Lawrence simply has a horrible game or the coaches get stupid in their playcalling. I also hope special-teams improves because we had our moments last year which were scary.

Brent Venables got here for the 2012 season. Tiger D rated #47 that year. Since, top 25 every year. No 1 last year. No 2 in 2017. Top ten the last four years.

I am confident the defense will be just fine from game one.

Totally agree.

The “Jimmies and the Joes” on this year’s team are pretty darn elite. I’m pretty confident that Tyler Davis, Thomas, Henry/Foster, and Pinckney/Williams will be a top notch group up front.

Venables has certainly worked with less talented groups which did extremely well. I’m sure we’ll be fine.

Looking forward to seeing KJ and XT at the ends. Super athletic.

Is it just me, or does XT look like a DB? He's thin and very fast. But he's not small at all.
