Skalski: 'I literally had the best gig on the team'

Clemson redshirt junior linebacker James Skalski met with the media Monday ahead of Saturday's game vs. Texas A&M at Death Valley.

Skalski spoke about how he benefited from the redshirt rule last season, when he was able to play in four games (vs. Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame and Alabama) but still able to take a redshirt year.

"I've said multiple times, 'I literally had the best gig on the team,'" Skalski said. "I got to sit out all year and then play in the best games of the season, and it was just really cool. It was cool because I got a whole year back and then I still got to perform at a big stage. So, it was awesome."
