Default OT: Pulled Pork or Brisket

Which BBQ do you like best, pulled pork or brisket?

I prefer a good brisket any day of the week.

I'm not sure your the best one to discuss this Will since you don't like North Carolina or South Carolina BBQ but think Sonny's is good BBQ....

I like Upstate SC BBQ, not the yellow crap from the Midlands! And who likes BBQ that slides off the meat when you try to eat it like NC BBQ does? That is (butt) backwards.

Someone will demand my SC birth certificate be turned in over this response, but the best pulled pork I have ever encountered does not deserve to touch the plate of the best brisket I've ever had.

And Will, there isn't a darn thing wrong with mustard-based bbq sauces.

Two different BBQ's. Not to be placed one over the other. Both are great, and i can smoke and eat either one. Both will be served sometime during the upcoming football season.

Yea, I'm not choosing between them. Had Pulled pork last night (which was amazing) but I'm always game for a good brisket. I will add its easier to find good pulled pork, brisket is more of a art form.

I can get pulled pork as the only meat of the dish. If I get brisket, it’s only when it accompanies the pork [unless it’s a brisket sandwich]. I can handle average-quality pulled pork much easier than I can some average tasting brisket.

Agree! That is why I like brisket better. It has to be done right, and when it is, the taste is unbelievable.

Pulled pork is my favorite, but I'm not going to turn down any kind of BBQ. BBQ is like pizza and sex. Even when it's bad it's still pretty good.

Love both. If I have to choose, pulled pork. Easy decision for me.

Mustard is for hotdogs.

Pulled pork is the king. I do like a good BBQ brisket but if I had to choose i'd take pulled pork done right. Not just any.

If you've got some slaw, then the pulled pork. Probably. But if it's REALLY good brisket, even without the slaw, then I'd go for that.

Correct, I think the issue is that people on here haven't had good brisket.

Take the best pulled pork on the planet and put it up against the best brisket in the world........brisket wins EVERY time. You don't need sauce on good brisket. Amazing pull pork will still need something......

Brisket 100%. The issue is that getting good brisket is WAY harder on the east coast. Getting good pulled pork is way easier in this area.
